The Plant Manager’s overall objective is to meet customer objectives, maintain compliance with quality guidelines and regulatory requirements while reducing costs, increasing service levels and achieving operation manufacturing excellence as Best in Class. Plant Manager will provide business expertise in operations management, execution of the business plan, and market development. Responsible for sustainable earning results, streamlining workflow and creating a team environment to increase productivity.  Direct oversight for optimization of inventory networks, plant line capacity, processing planning capabilities and systems, supporting short and long term improvement, delivery performance, flexibility and availability.  SOUTHEAST US LOCATION.   • Responsible for the safety of approximatley 60 direct and indirect reports serving this non-union operation
  • Develops and administers financial budgets and activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency
  • Oversight of production, distribution, cost accounting, sales and customer services
  • Directs and manages resources to implement tactical business plans and programs to see work through completion
  • Communicate the vision for the plant and communicates strategy and objectives effectively
  • Sets clear and consistent expectations for performance and leverages resources available to accomplish goals
  • Follows up on critical tasks and holds people accountable for adhering to process and protocol
  • Ensures team has necessary resources and removes barriers where appropriate
  • Stage work and recalibrate throughout the day as necessary to meet customer demand
  • Prioritize the necessary resources and create the tactical steps required to accomplish goals on time
  • Identifies talent correctly and shows ownership of all aspects of plant staffing and retention
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic and focus on Lean manufacturing, safety, quality, productivity and cost
  • Persistent in achieving desired results
  • 10 to 30+ years operations experience in mining and minerals processing or similar industry; minimum of 5 years of experience preferred with any of the following: rotary kiln, cooler, crushing and screening operation. 
  • Strong with mentoring employees and building a positive team environment
  • Must be familiar and comfortable working with sales and marketing teams
  • Familiar with maintenance procedures and strategies for improving equipment uptime. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a MSHA regulatory environment preferred
  • Experience in a Title V regulated operational environment preferred
  • Mining related experience required
  • Able to apply stringent quality control and federal regulatory requirements
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude with a hands on leadership approach required
